About me
I am glad you are here.
My name is Randle Brooks. Born and raised in Texas, I have transitioned to a fulfilling life in Colorado. When I am not working, you may find me cooking, baking, or attending a yoga class. I enjoy spending most of my time at home on my little farm or traveling to visit friends and family.
A little backstory: I was a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for several years before counseling. I have always loved working one-on-one, especially with children and teens. Life led me to Crested Butte, Colorado, where I discovered holistic healing practices that changed my perspective and allowed me to access my true nature. Using my knowledge of child development and attachment from the years as an SLP, paired with my holistic view of a person, I work with teens and college students who are ready to explore their identity and build an authentic life for themselves.
I help clients who are seeking to strengthen their connection to self and build confidence, self esteem, and resilience. I acknowledge the effects of trauma on the brain and body, including how it impacts the way we view ourselves and move through our world. My goal is to create a safe space for you to explore, get curious, and access your own inherent wisdom for healing.
My Approach
I am passionate about holistic living and the mind/body connection, personally and professionally. Actively practicing a variety of forms of yoga for 8 years has taught me about all that we hold in our bodies, including trauma, pain, joy, and a natural tendency to move toward healing if given the right environment. I work with the body and mind together in my practice as a therapist. I believe that the safety and connection that can be built between a client and the therapist serves as the foundation for any approach.
In my integrative and trauma-informed therapy practice, I utilize a variety of methods and techniques. I am Level 1 trained in Essence Oriented Therapy (EOT), and this informs my work with clients. I also utilize other somatic (body-based) interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions, and emotionally-focused interventions including EFIT and AEDP. I recognize the power of Polyvagal Theory and lifestyle changes to create a flexible and adaptable nervous system.
Population
I work with individuals ages 12 and above who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, self harm, and body image issues.
I work with Durango residents as well as anyone in the state of Colorado. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. See my rates here.

I have seen tremendous growth and progress with clients. I deeply believe in the therapy process. With that said, it is not a magical cure, and a therapist is not a magical healer. Therapy takes a lot of effort, time, patience, and a dedication to showing up for yourself.
